Jervis Bay on the NSW South Coast is one
of the few pristine coastal areas left in NSW. The picturesque
bay and its environs form the Jervis Bay Marine Park. The protected
bay and its surrounds are diverse in marine and birdlife and it
has some of the most amazing and spectacular scenery along the
Australian coastline. It's breathtaking beauty, and its rich cultural
and natural significance have long been recognized and appreciated

Unique to this area are the resident
pods of Bottlenose dolphins that can be found in the bay all year
round. Seasonally we witness the migration of the majestic Humpback
whales along the East Coast, this occurs from June to mid November.

Watching cruises in Jervis Bay and have been conducting cruises
since 1998. Our many years of whale watching experience has taught
us the best times, places and conditions to sight the whales both
inside and outside of the Jervis Bay Marine Park, hence
our high sighting rate (96% in 2007).
We
witness the migration of the majestic Humpback whales along
the East Coast from June to mid November. Humpback whales
are the most active of all the whale species and provide some
of the most spectacular sights that nature can provide. Our knowledge
and understanding of these mighty leviathans will ensure you get
the best experience possible.
The early 9.00am departure ensures you get the best
cruising conditions and that you are the first to see the whales.
For passenger comfort and the best prospect to spot these magnificent
mammals, we only cruise when sea conditions are favourable.
Other whale species are occasionally sighted, including Minke
whales, Pygmy Right whales, Orcas, Fin whales and Southern Right
whales. In addition we offer cruises to Australia’s only mainland
fur seal colony whilst Little Fairy Penguins are often sighted
during cruises.

Whale Explorer Cruise provides a number of cruise
options, which depart daily from Huskisson Wharf. On board luncheons
are available on request to group bookings or as an option, we
have a working relationship with the Huskisson RSL where we can
arrange lunch overlooking Jervis Bay and Currumbene Creek. The
RSL is adjacent to the Huskisson wharf facility, the departure
point for our cruises.
